The Raleigh hotel on Miami Beach was not only the site of Celebrity Chef Rachael Ray’s Saturday Night SoundCheck Party. The boutique hotel was also the site where YouTube Phenomenon Ana Free made her United States debut during the South Beach Wine and Food Festival. Before Rachael Ray’s husband and lead singer of The Cringe performed, acoustic pop singer Ana Free performed songs from her “Radian” EP as well as several cover songs including Kings of Leon’s “Use Somebody” and Bob Marley’s “No Woman No Cry”.
Ana Free is from Portugal, currently living in London and is preparing to make strides in the US. With over 51K subscribers and over 20 million views on YouTube in addition to a host of live performances, iTunes chart topper, countless accolades; clearly Ana Free is not the typical independent artist and might even be the envy of some major recording artists. Ana Free’s first single “In My Place”, earned recognition as the "highest debut" and "greatest gainer" on the Portuguese TOP 40 radio charts, eventually rising to #2 and beating out major artists like Rihanna, who's “Disturbia” debuted during the same week. “In My Place” also placed on the “Euro Top 200” radio charts, and her music video for “Keep on Walking” has been on heavy rotation on MTV in Portugal.
The highly anticipated United States debut from the Portuguese star is presented by Kindheart Lionheart Media and Publishing. In addition to the successful Miami date, Ana Free’s United States debut will also include a New York City performance, Sunday, March 7th at Touch.
